I look for every opportunity to get vegetables into my kids. Sometimes I’m sneaky, sometimes I’m not. This is a little sneaky, but, hey, they’re getting PIZZA and they’re happy! One little step adds a nutritional power punch to pizza night.
Take however much sauce you plan on using for your pizza and put it in a blender. (Yep, I use bottled. Just make sure it doesn’t have any high fructose corn syrup or any other icky ingredients).
Add some veg. This is leftover sauteed spinach – but use whatever veggies you have on hand. I just kind of eyeball this instead of measuring out. I put in as much as I think I can get away with before it becomes too green. Blend together so that there are no detectable veggie chunks.
