“Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.’” Mark 11:23
When we have obstacles in our lives, we often pray that God will help us overcome them. We tell Him about our problems and ask for help and deliverance. And that’s great, we should take everything to God. But when I was at Jesus Camp, I learned a new dimension of prayer that I thought was awesome..and that is…Instead of always telling God about your problem, tell your problem about your God. This puts God in the position of focus and power. This activates your confidence and your faith. Cancer – my God is so much bigger than you. Bad relationship – my God is so much stronger than you. Scary debt – my God is so much more powerful than you. Don’t just tell God about your mountain, tell your mountain about your God.
