Meet The Christian Nutritionist

aboutmepicsmall

Hi, I’m Chelsea, The Christian Nutritionist. If you’re looking for more God and more health in your life, then you’re in the right place. My nutrition philosophy is simple:

Eat REAL food.
Eat the food that GOD made.
Food from NATURE will keep you HEALTHY.

There is no better nutritionist in the world than The Creator of our bodies.  When we use God as our compass for health choices, we make good decisions and ultimately feel better, look better, serve better, and more fully live into our God-given potential. I am here to keep this concept in front of you and hold you accountable to it. As a nutritionist, that’s what I want for my family, for my friends, for my clients, and for my readers. I want everyone to be healthy and  feel awesome. When we feel good, we’re nicer to each other. We have more patience with our spouses. We have more energy for our kids. We’re more grateful for what we have. And that just makes the world a better place.

I love vegetables and fruitI find all kinds of Bible verses that inspire me to eat better, sleep better, worry less, love more, and give thanks. When I find one, it’s like unearthing a little treasure. So I share those treasures here and hope that they inspire you that way too. It fills me up to be able to help others. That’s what this site is for. I hope you find helpful information and inspiration here.

If you’d like to read more about how nutrition reversed my “unexplained infertility”,  20-year battle with Hidradenitis Suppurativa, and my son’s eczema and digestive problems, click here.

If you need a Christian nutritionist to guide you back on track, a health partner to keep you accountable, a confidante to counsel you, then click here to read about my services and/or click here to contact me.

And, as always, I love when you stay in touch through Facebook and Instagram. It helps me know what you find helpful so I can keep doing more of that.

Great health and blessings to you!

  1. Chelsea, I have some ideas about a healthy colon diet but need more ideas. Ronnie had a colostomy done in San Antonio a month ago and I am rather confused as to what he is supposed to be eating. I have diverticulitis and have that diet from my doctors. We have not had any instructions from doctors as to what Ronnie should be eating when he returns home. He is on a regular diet for the time being because he simply needs to gain weight. The Doctors seem to think the colostomy can be reversed once he is healthy and strong again. Do you have any ideas on how to keep him healthy through diet?

    • Julia – check out the SCD (Simple Carbohydrate Diet). It is great for people that need colon support. Paleo is an effective way to eat as well (but tread lightly on the nuts and no seeds). Both focus on nutrient-dense, whole foods and remove many hard-to-digest items. Good luck!

  2. Hi Chelsea,
I am a wife and mother of three. I was diagnosed with stage 3 thyroid cancer in October 2013. I had a thyroidectomy and radiation. In 2014, I had radiation again. I’ve been told by my endocrinologist that I will never be in remission due to the fact I have numerous autoimmune diseases. I have tried taking various things out of my diet. A friend suggested a cleanse. Family History: My dad died last year with cancer in lung, brain, spine, and adrenal gland. My mom is living. She has memory issues, autoimmune arthritis, and osteoarthritis. She also had an abcess in her intestines from diverticulitis some years ago. What do you suggest for me?

    • Hi Teresa – I am so sorry to hear about your health issues. The short answer is that I recommend an Autoimmune Protocol Diet and the best book for that is The Paleo Approach found here: http://amzn.to/1AgI6OA. But it is also likely that some intense gut healing needs to take place. I will email you directly to touch base on this. If I can be of further assistance on your health journey, please do not hesitate to ask. Blessings!

  3. Hi Chelsea,
My sister in law Tara Tallbot Hull was a zeta with you at Texas and recommended me. My husband and I are having major fertility issues and I’m at my wits end and she encouraged I contact you. We’ve tried for 2 years, done fertility treatments last surgery was April and all they say is unexplained infertility. Tara said you may know some on this. I’ve tried holistic and medical approach and nothing. Any info or advice would be so greatly appreciated. You can email me at the address listed above. Sorry I couldn’t find a way to contact you directly.

    • Hi Katie – I was given that same vague diagnosis. I understand how gut wrenching that is and I am so sorry for your struggle! I will email you to see what we can do. Blessings, Chelsea

    • Hi Linda!
I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis of pancreatistis. I work with people on all sorts of maladies, conditions and illnesses. Because I have a whole body approach, we work to lessen the inflammatory burden on the entire body….and the pancreas is a biggie!!! Many of my clients have burdens on the pancreas and the liver, so we focus on healing foods and lifestyle changes to reduce the inflammation so that the body can recover. With all new clients, I require a Health History and Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire to be filled out so that I can get the big picture of what kind of approach we need to take. If you feel like this is something you’d like to do, let me know and we’ll get started. I would love to be a part of your healing team!
      Health and Blessings to you!

    • Hi JK! I’m often asked whether or not I have experience dealing with this or that malady. I approach all health issues with nutritional foundations. So whether it’s MS, Ulcerative Colitis, Fatty Liver, High Blood Sugar, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Weight Loss, Eczema, IBS (all of which I have worked with), we root out nutritional deficiencies and foundational issues that affect the body as a whole. We work on the body as a whole from the inside out, which affects many health issues. I haven’t yet had a client with fibroids, but I would take you through the foundational approach to best support your body’s needs. Health and Blessings to you!
