The best way to Detox Your Temple is to choose Real Food the Way God Made It on a daily basis. God is our Master Nutritionist – He created our bodies and He created the perfect foods to keep us strong and healthy. But let’s face it…..many of us KNOW this, we know what food we should be eating, and yet we don’t. Sometimes we need guidance, inspiration, accountability and just an all around kick in the pants to get back on track. And that’s EXACTLY what we’re going to do here.

HOW TO CHOOSE: The protocols listed in this section are ways to help you get back and stay on track. All nutritional therapies are based in real food, but sometimes we need techniques and tools to reset our systems. By finding what works for you, you can self-correct and implement these measures at any time you need that kick in the pants. The Personalized Plan – This is all about working one-on-one with me to figure out exactly what you need to do to turn your health around. No two people are the same, no one plan fits everyone. This individual consultation takes into account your nutritional deficiencies, food preferences, and lifestyle habits. Sometimes real food is not enough when the body is out of whack. You can put oil into the car, but if the engine is broken, it won’t use it properly. Same with the body. You may be putting in all the “right foods” but still feel terrible or unable to lose lose weight. Your metabolic engine may be broken, but we will work together to nurture it back to health. The Sugar Detox - God made your body a wondrous detoxification machine. Your kidneys, lungs, lymph, skin, colon, and liver are all in place to help you detoxify every single minute of the day. When those organs are healthy and functioning efficiently, your body can do its job well. But when they are overloaded with junk, the body’s cleansing system becomes sluggish and inefficient. In other words, there’s too much trash coming in and not enough going out. This 14-day Sugar Detox helps your body do two things: 1) Remove much of the burden (trash!) placed on those detoxification organs: sugar, processed foods, pesticides, and alcohol are some of the things that overload your body and slow down the detoxification process. 2) Give the detoxification system the fuel it needs to function properly. Those organs run off of nutrients like the B vitamins, Vitamins A, C, and D, calcium and potassium, fiber and water. Without the fuel, the machine doesn’t run. Track Your MacsUnderstanding the intake of macronutrients (proteins, fats, carbohydrates) is extremely helpful in keeping your body balanced. Tracking your Macs involves using My Fitness Pal to measure the breakdown of your daily macronutrients.

The 3-Day Reset – Sometimes we need to give our bodies a mini-break from our bad choices and concentrate on saturating it with nutrients.  The 3-Day Reset is great when you want something quick and short-term to get back on track. If a full Sugar Detox or Elimination Diet feels overwhelming…the Reset is a great option. It’s especially useful during the holiday season when parties and events derail us over the weekends and we want to focus on clean eating during the week. Fasting – Fasting is an ancient tradition and technique used for spiritual, physical and mental well-being. There are many ways to fast – it’s not as hard as you think!
